ReviOUYA Review #17 – Babylonian Twins

Babylonian Twins is a puzzle platformer created by App Barbecue, a remake of the original game of the same name on the Commodore Amiga that was never released.  You star as the twin princes of Babylon, Nasir and Blasir, and the goal is to get to the high priest, overthrow him, and reclaim the kingdom.

ReviOUYA Review #16 – Final Fantasy III

Final Fantasy is an RPG brought over to OUYA by Square Enix.  This is a remaster of the original Final Fantasy III  that came out for the NES back in 1990 in Japan.  Over the years Square has tried remaking it for modern systems, starting with the Wonderswan Color and ending with the Nintendo DS.  It then came out for IOS, Android and PSP shortly after.  A classic RPG that has made its way through the times.

ReviOUYA Review #15 – Giana Sisters

Giana sisters is a complete remake of the original PC/C64 version of the game with the same name.  This game is not just a remake, but has entirely new and original levels to play.  Platform as one of the Giana sisters, and her alter-ego, looking for her other one, going through worlds to find her.

ReviOUYA Review #14 – FLASHOUT 3D

FLASHOUT 3D is a racing game that came out early in the OUYA’s life, around April 2013.  This was before the OUYA itself went retail, and was still in its kickstarter phase.  FLASHOUT 3D has a futuristic setting and brings an extra few mechanics to the racing genre.  While it is one of the first OUYA games released, it certainly is still one of the better racing games out there.

ReviOUYA Review #13 – 3D Street Racing

3D Street Racing is a racer that came out July, 2013.  You race through the city streets with various other cars and try to get first place.  One of the few 3D racers currently on the OUYA.

ReviOUYA Review #12 – Shuttle Rush

Shuttle Rush came out near OUYA’s launch and then got a large content update bringing in more levels in September.  It is, to this day, still an OUYA exclusive.  It is a platformer similar in style to Megaman and Sonic the Hedgehog, where you are racing against time to get to the end of the level with the least amount of hits, and the highest amount of coins.  You star as Space taxman Bob with a punctured “1958 My First adventure space suit” on a ship that has a ‘Shoot taxman on sight’ policy, you need to get out of there as soon as possible while collecting the money you originally came for.

ReviOUYA Review #11 – Mech Battle Arena

Mech Battle Online was once known as iMech Online (as the cover shows).  This game came out early in the OUYA’s life and has went through a major overhaul adding new features such as a single player campaign, improved graphics and 2 different online multiplayer modes with up to 8 players playing at one time.
